I've been studying NLP / SS really deeply, and I came across Covert Hypnosis. I wonder what's the relation between both?
If I learn Covert Hypnosis will it help with NLP?

Thanks

I started learning conversational hypnosis (Igor Ledochowski's course) yesterday and I'm still on CD1. But, in the examples he gave, he uses a lot of the same SS tools but he calls them something different.

For example, he calls "Pacing and Leading" a "Yes-set".

He calls "Fractionation" a "distraction principle". Fractionation is similar to how RJ seeds his embedded commands by changing the subject. In Igor's example, he does the same thing but calls it a distraction principle.

In both RJ and Igor's course they talk about how storytelling can be delivery vehicles to bypass the critical mind.

In RJ's course, "instantly" and "immediately" are considered "trance words". In Igor's course, those same two words are called "power words".

I am about to start CD2 today.

In conclusion:

For seduction purposes, I would suggest Ross Jeffries's course because it will give you the themes/topics that are helpful in seducing a woman as well as a good foundation in NLP (Notice how I saw a lot of the same principles RJ taught in Igor's course). He also will give you openers, canned patterns, questions to ask, and what to look out for and a strong inner game.

For generally being more persuasive, I'd go with Igor's course. But, keep in mind, this analysis is only after going through CD1.

I'm resurrecting this thread to ask you if you finished Igor's course.

I have it by i never gave it a serious try doing all the exercises.

BTW... I think it's true what you said. RJ gives pretty good NLP foundation and it a practical usage (seduction), but IMHO you can make patterns for anything using the SS principles.

both covert hypnosis and ss follow a similar model of language, this model is called the milton model, the milton model is a breakdown of the language used by hypnotherapist milton erickson who was the king of using indirect hypnosis, basically rather then giving direct he would use metaphor and language that the mind will find more appealing rather then a direct suggestion, the language was modelled by bandler and grinder which became patterns of the hypnotic techniques of milton erickson and tranceformations
a lot of ss and covert hypnosis is based on pacing and leading, quotation, cause and effect, embedding commands and metaphor
the discovery channel pattern is basically a metaphor sexual attraction and orgasm

There are different kinds of hypnosis, direct, indirect, covert, overt.
NLP is generally covert, direct hypnosis. Direct because you are giving them instructions, covert because they are being hypnotised without their knowledge.

Conversational Hypnosis is covert, indirect hypnosis. It is this way because it is very ordinary conversation that relies on implication and association. Conversational Hypnosis is about far more than the Milton Model, which is a breakdown of specific language tools.

Speed Seduction is heavily geared towards Conversational Hypnosis. What isn't explicitly mentioned by any SS gurus is how conversational it is meant to sound like. Rarely have I heard an example or a pattern that didn't sound weird. There's so much you can be doing all the time throughout conversation that makes the explicit SS tools redundant.
What I mean is that rather than running an incredible connection pattern on someone, it is far more useful and smoother if you talk, in such a way that you are building a connection, the same as you would before knowing language pattern. Rather than robotically run through a pattern for connection (even if it's improvised, it can still seem robotic, and easily overdone), why not actually connect with them?

All of the SS stuff works, but you just gotta stop thinking laterally. So you wanna first build intrigue? Then comfort and connection? Then arousal? Brilliant. You know what the pattern are supposed to be doing so let's figure out our own ways of doing it. I wonder how subtle, and covert you can make it...
Say something intugueing or maybe behave a certain way. Good.
Speak comfortably, connecting on different things she has to say and letting her do the same. Good.
Start slowing down, giving her flirtatious looks. Good.

That's your basic premise, now let's use the language patterns to pepper it, using implication and association. Remember, we're looking for efficiency and economy. We want what's most effective. Most of the time, language patterns arent. It's only the principles you need to concern yourself with.

As time goes by, when you have a grip on what you're doing you can focus more on specific language tricks and that, but for now, just try to understand the principles and finding your own applications for a handful of the language patterns.
