One thing I do that helps me out with this, is I play a little game when I have spare time or when I'm driving. All you have to do is think of one any random thing in your head to start, for instance a car. Then think about a trait that car has in your mind. For example you could be thinking of a red mustang. So a trait could be red. Red is your next word. What is something that is red? Apples. What are apples related to? Fruit. Fruit is your next word. What can relate to fruit? grocery stores. And so on and so forth. This basically helps your brain continue with the flow of your conversation because you have trained yourself to bounce off topics quickly. Make sense?

What I am doing right now that is helping me stay motivated and happy, is I have a list every night I make before I go to sleep of things I need to do the next day. As well as monthly goals, weekly goals. After you keep making lists and keep doing the things on that list, you will start to see things as well as your life going in an upward spiral of improvement because you are completing goals. However if you really want to motivate yourself, tell someone close to you about what you are doing, and tell them you will pay them 5$ that day if you did not do something on the list you've made. I think this might really help you.
