I'm a new AFC to the community, and until recently, didn't even know there WAS a PUA forum.

I'm 22, in Oklahoma, and just learned of the "real" pickup artist game. I learned of all of this from a book I got for a friend as a gag gift for Christmas this year. I decided to read it and, although I'm not yet finished with the book, I'm flying through it. Most of you probably already know the book I read. "The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists" by Neil Strauss.

I enjoy video games a lot (probably the reason I don't have much game), and I have recently started learning how to be a DJ. As far as my goals here in the community, I would say I want to learn it all. I don't have ANY game whatsoever. So maybe I'm not an AFC. Perhaps I am, instead, an rAFC. Either way, I'm here to learn. I feel a bit flustered at the moment because there is so much here, but I have started sarging and getting no results. I guess I just need to go do the Newbie Mission. Hopefully that, in and of itself, will help.

Anywhos, here I am! Ready to soak it in like a sponge!

Welcome!

If you're new I really do recommend spending a lot of time away from your computer and outside (in HD) talking to strangers to improve your social skills, part of the process is catching up on years of lost social interaction

thing is most people don't spend several hours a week speaking to strangers and building comfort with them
so you can get to be a more skilled conversationalist than most people if you commit to it :D

Have fun!

Absolutely right.

Soaking in information like a sponge is great, but only if you apply everything you soaked in! If you "soak in" more than you apply in real life, you're gonna have a bad time.
