we all know this is something that can be bypassed.
It's no more than a test, but how to bypass it, I have a few but I favourite is "Well I am now!"

You've proved you don't need to hit on her, she needs to hit on you. I always get that because of the scarf and hat (peacocking equipment i use)...and about 60% of the time it works. The rest end up getting a bit huffy thinking I was calling them unattractive....so that answer may need to be calibrated a bit...

I like that drunkmick, and your name gave me an idea of a possible calibration to your response. Could be changed to "Is that your way to consoling yourself that I havent offered you a free drink yet like most guys (or replace guys with chumps)?" Or something like that.
