I have no acne, but I still have some old scars from when I was younger.

Any ideas on that? It doesn't hold me back at all, but I'd still like to get rid of them.
there is a product called bio oil that they sell here in the uk, i dont know where u live but it would be worth looking for because a friend of mine had a scar on her face and used it for a while and now you cant even see it (its had a few years to fade also) i have a very large scar on my knee(bowt 6 inches) for repeated knee surgery so mite use it myself at some point

Z_dubya, i use a product for my mild acne that keeps it mild and slowly helps get rid of the spots that i do have, it doesnt make my skin too dry either because it has a built in moisturizer, its calledclearosil, hope that helps
i share the problem of pale skin and redness but havnt experimented with any tanning products yet...

to solve your paleness problem, the spray-on tans (Mystic Tan, etc.) or the creams with bronzer in them is a fast, easy, and cancer-free way to get tanner.

As far as shininess goes, skin becomes shiny due to a buildup of oil. I suggest Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets. They're small blue pieces of material that when patted on your face it removes excess oil. I got mine from CVS Pharmacy.
Are those oil absorbing sheets dry?... as in could you carry a few around in your wallet if need be?
Yes, and they're small. The box they come in is about the dimensions of a stack of 5 credit cards so you could easily carry them around in your pocket or a wallet if its big enough

Cleanse twice a day, Tone twice a week, Moisturise twice a day.

Do that for a few weeks, you'll become spottier while your skin is clearing up, but it'll pass and your complexion should improve quite quickly. Worked wonders for me, although i didn't keep it up. :(

I use clean & clear black head removing scrub to clean my face...works wonders. I highly recommend it to anyone with oily skin or acne. Its dirt cheap, easy to use, and lasts a while.

Also i now wash my hair 2 times each shower i take, and have noticed that my hair and forehead are less oily too.

I personally feel that bronzer and spray on tans are probably as bad if not worse then light generated tans, as far as skin health and care go. I dunt trust a chemical that tans my skin.

Id say that freckles are not a bad thing and if you dont like your skin tone then just tan.

Diet is a great change to make, as it will help in soo many areas.

Also i tend to whipe my face off with a lil bit of soap and warm water when i goto the bathroom at a venue to reduce the oily and shinny effects.

Hope this all helps.
