I got some valuable feedback from Aaron Sleazy (thanks) on my last LR, "LR: Vacation Romance" and the message was clear: I don't move fast enough and missed opportunities could translate into losing the girl.

This past Saturday, I got a text from HBYellowFever, a white girl with a fetish for Asian guys that I've met once before more than a month ago. She invited me and a couple other friends out for hookah at Rainbow Lounge. After realizing that she might be the only girl there, I invited another girl out with me, HBGerman. She is German. On our way to meet up with HBYellowFever and some other dude at the hookah lounge, I was testing to see how receptive HBGerman was to physical proximity, kino, and shit like that. After we all met up at the hookah lounge, HBYellowFever and the other guy were sitting across from each other so I ended up sitting next to HBYellowFever. She was a lot more receptive to physical interest and the like compared to HBGerman.

I whispered to HBYellowFever, "So, are you fucking that guy?" Our previous conversations from the first time we met were sexually framed enough to talk openly about our sex lives. She replied, "NO! He is strictly just a friend!" A little later on, I could see why. He is very nice.

"After this we can go to my place and drink because my house owner is away for the weekend," HBYellowFever offered. In my head, a little check mark appeared next to "logistics."

Afterward, the four of us were at HBYellowFever's apartment, watching South Park on southparkstudios.com, and taking a drink every time they said a swear word. When it got pretty late, HBGerman and the other guy were both like "Oh, we should get home" but I was all like "I need a shower." I had already planted that "Can I shower when we get to your place because I feel sweaty and gross" seed earlier while we were on our way to HBYellowFever's place.

HBGerman and the other guy left while I was taking a shower. "Do you mind if I crash here tonight?" I yelled over to HBYellowFever. She said I could stay but said I couldn't sleep in her home owner's room. "Well, you don't mind cuddling, do you?" I yelled over. "Oh no, I don't mind." All of this was said very casually. When I got out of the shower, she took a shower, too.

The sex was kind of boring. I think I might actually need some of that slow romance to enjoy what I'm doing. Things went pretty fast but something was definitely missing.

It seems like you played very efficient game, but after you reached the point where sex was almost a guarantee, you could have gone for foreplay instead of closing. Brought her into the shower with you, possibly.

Liam McRae has some great posts that talk about escalating while maintaining the sexual tension (not kissing, etc). That may be what you're looking for.

Well, if it's too fast you rarely get to enjoy the spoils of victory. You're right, we all need slow romance more than we admit to enjoy these things a bit more than we do.
