The question is.. to smoke or not to smoke?

I own a hookah and my friends and I get together every once in a while and smoke it. I've read that it's not bad for you, but if you do it a lot (2-3 times/day,) it can be bad for you.

However, we usually smoke only 1 or 2 times / week.

What do you guys think?

Titan.

haha always, it was my first time even hearing about a hookah or a hookah bar or anything to do with that. i was about 15 or 16 before i knew how to do pretty much anything lol, so anyways i walk in and sit with my sister and her friends and they order a hookah and start smoking......so im like hmmmm i wanna try this lol so i tell my sister i wanted to hit it and she says ok as long as nobody sees you do it im like awesome........(remember i didnt pay attention to anyone else when they hit it)........well i didnt know that you didnt actually have to light it like you would a bowl or anything else so first i try and light it and get yelled at so i jump when they yell at me so i knock the hookah off the table and break it and my sister had to pay for it....then we got kicked out because i was underage and smoking in the club.......so it was pretty much a shitty night where i got yelled at the whole 30 min ride home lol. but other than that it was a good night 8)

yeah but be careful with Wikipedia... The tests on hookah from that site were done burning the tobacco at 600-650*C instead of 100-150*C which is normal.

edit: Sorry I just realized that I revived this thread =X

I smoke hookah all the time im middle eastern so its like basically a part of life for us. I will tell you its only bad for you if you smoke it in place of cigs basically what im trying to tell you is dont make it a habit and dont sit on the thing for like 2 hours an hour a day once a week wont hurt you bro. and its really not an addictive thing so you dont have to worry about getting hooked on it

It's bad for you, don't do it.

You will notice detrimental effects on your health and overall well being from smoking hookah.

Don't listen to ZeXy, he learns his health facts from old wives' tales.

Haha, but seriously, smoking hookah is fine as long as you don't do it more than, let's say, twice a week. It's healthier than smoking cigarettes, but you're still inhaling a lot of CO2, which sure isn't helping your brain.

On another note, I've taken girls to a hookah lounge before because it's something they might not have done, and therefore I can be a man and lead them. I show them how to do it, neg them when they mess it up, and DHV by showing some sweet smoke rings and french inhale. If you have a hookah lounge close by where you're sarging, it makes a great insta-date, because they're usually quiet, and relaxed enviroments so you can actually have a good conversation as opposed to a dance club.
