I used to be fine socially but smoked weed for a while. I am clean as of 2 years but I am on prozac which means I can actually go into social situations. The problem is I became anxious of what to say next. I always feel like i don't have much to say or run out. I can't just enjoy a conversation, I have something in my head saying what do i say.

i used to be fine and I have improved but it just pisses me off completely. can anyone suggest anything?

Before you go out you can plan what you want to say to a girl. Make sure you plan something interesting. If you are not capable of planning an interesting conversational thread, just have a look online and find some canned conversational threads.

Another important thing is to always be convinced that what you are telling to a girl is interesting, even if you are talking about complete bullshit. If you don't believe yourself that you are interesting, other won't believe it either. I talk from experience. Whenever I tell an interesting story but in a nonconvincing way, people don't want to listen to me. But if I tell a crappy story with full conviction people like to listen. So next time you are talking to a girl try to convince yourself that what you are saying is the most interesting thing in the world.

Hey mate I know how you feel; I used to find it hard to have normal conversations also.

One thing I have learnt is that it’s not so much what you say but how you say it, I have seen dudes speak complete and utter bollox, be outrageously crude to women and still get a laugh and kind of “what the hell is this is this man all about” response from them. Just be confident but not too cocky or arrogant.

Pick up on things others say in the conversation and try to relate to them. I.e. some girl at work today was talking to me about her dog running off. Did I care? No, I could not give a shit if that dog was hit by a car... but I was like "ohh I hope you found him", “what kind of dog is it?”, “I used to have a cute little dog called.....” "Isn’t it funny when dogs......” etc, Just pick up on topics and try to use them.

Try and be a little more dramatic than if you was talking to a dude. Women love a bit of drama lol!

I'm new to forum but i think I have some advice for you. Style is seen as a very good conversationlist. He once said that he pictures fish-hooks when he is in a conversation and he pulls one out to get the conversation going. So if somenones says: "I've been on holiday to China." You can ask:

When have you been to china?
Who were you with?
Which part of China did you go to? etc.

And also don't stay to long on 1 subject, because that gets boring after a while. I also read a little bit of David deAngelo's stuff and that also helps to keep a conversation with woman interesting, because you don't wanna talk about the boring topics (work, school etc.)

Hope I helped a bit.
