In itself no but if you have the game to back it up it will help you greatly, as long as you have belief in it. Obviously just standing there like The Terminator looking all bad ass and acting all serious isn't going to do too much for you. And also I agree at the end of the day having solid posture won't solve all your problems with women but is that a reason to ignore it completely?
When I first became consciously aware of my awkward stride and strange manner of slouching it took along time to fix. (Thats when I actually finally decided it might be worth fixing) Throughout the process I made a complete jackass of myself with my robotic almost "too perfect" posture, but slowly and surely it developed into a more natural kick ass way of walking and standing. I guess its all down to internal calibration, like when you first start doing approaches the conversation spills out awkwardly and then through time it begins to flow more naturally.
Having implemented a better more alpha posture has definitely been a huge plus on my game. More heads turn as I walk through the world and other people seem to be alot more respecting of my presence in first impression meetings.
