I tried this neg out on a couple of HB's and got a similar result each time. Not going to say what reaction I got yet as i am wondering what you guys think? Is this a decent neg or do you think i risk going too far?

Basically you slip into the conversation that you think that she's "quite pretty". Both times I slipped it into a compliment such as "You have a great car and you are quite pretty so blah blah blah".

Both times the HBs focussed in on the "quite pretty!?!?!" Then i go "oh man, it was supposed to be a compliment, you've twisted what I said. "I'll take away the "quite" then OK?"

So should I keep this in my box o tricks or keep trying? Constructive feedback to this PUA noob is welcome.

Thanks

The real analysis of that line doesn't go into the origianl 'neg' but how you respond to her response so to speak.

You're the one giving out line here.

quite pretty!?!?!
This is her setting up a hoop so to speak, she isn't all to pleased about that 'half compliment'

This , this right here, is you diving through that hoop as fast as you can. You've set her back in the driving seat. When she says 'Quite pretty' looking for a response, just plough on. (Ace of spades, the phrase really is catchy). Or just make sure things are back on your terms.

'Quite pretty?'
'Whoa there little britches, lets not get ahead of ourselves'

I think I understand what you are saying. But as one of the HB's put it when I took the "quite" away, "Yeah but you're only just saying that now".

I thought one of the strategies with HB's was to not acknowledge their hotness like all other AFCs would.

But I bow to the boards collective experience. Thanks for the input.

Precisely, thats why the first part is effective but when you bow to their need and take the 'quite' out you are now acknowledging their hotness.
