You can dress normal and be a PUA, its not the most important thing. But why not add to your level of mysteriousness, intrigue, and confidence, by dressing differently than everyone else. Have you ever worn a crazy outfit out to a bar? I have, and I can't tell you how many girls opened me because of it, and how much it increased my confidence.

I've been successful going out in regular clothes, but the crazy or rockstar type outfits only help that much more.
You are supposed to dress congruous with your identity. Mystery is a magician--he has that goth thing going. Your clothes are a projection of your identity--if you aren't goth and have nothing to do with that culture, then you shouldn't wear it. That doesn't mean you can't dress up in something.

If you want to project the image of a incredibly successful business man, try dressing in an Armani suit and going to a club. Just imagine how much you would stand out against a legion of sluts in tubetops and guys in Abercrombie polos.

The point is to stand out--wearing a feather boa or wearing a crazy hat like Mystery will only work if they work with your identity.

Is it just me or is mystery sometimes patronising or rude to the girls when he is talking to them?

Mystery's style has given me hope. I used to have long black hair, and wore tight jeans with a leather jacket, but I was afraid girls didn't dig this stuff.
Anyways look at the chick in the last clip, playing with her hair non-stop!
you know hes doing something right

I need to save up some money so I can be trained by Mystery. He is definitely the best I've seen.

I wouldn't say he isn't patronizing or rude. Its more just his way of the neg. He's trying to show that he isnt needy nor have they won him over completely yet. It keeps the girl entranced with him and having to qualify herself.

so he is showing interest to the girls while simultaniously and subconcously telling them "nope, i dont like you yet keep trying"

He also combined an introduction with a neg. "tweedle dee, tweedle dom"

classic.

The thing to remember about this video though is..

A) mystery has video cameras on him. This brings up his value and makes girls curious of who he is. "why are there video cameras on this guy???"

B) everyone in the club signed a waver before hand that said we are filming and if u want to come in you have too accept that you are going to be on video. This makes people even more intrigued. "why are they filming"

soo... this might give mystery an edge that he doesn't always have. Im not trying to take away from the guy he got pickup artist of the year for a reason... just saying

Also.. I am pretty darn sure that all the routines used in this video.. and The game.. and vh1's the PUA are not used by mystery in real life.

I believe that mystery and matador and even jdog all have their own material that they keep to themselves and do not share.. they use these routines like 'did u see the fight outside' only for the purposes of teaching.

im strongly against using canned material. come up with your own canned and TRUE material. true stories.. true jokes.. all that.

the pickup arts is about being a genuine person.. not a tricky fake routine fake story telling person.

it took me a while to figure this out.

nah, the video cams are always hidden or, with the exception of the first one for example, anonymous. they're not trained on mystery, they generally dont even move.

I like all the little pauses... it makes it seem like he's thinking, and not just reciting a routine. His negs were polished too... almost backhanded, and anyone who they weren't said to wouldn't even notice.

Since I read the game for the first time, Mystery has always been my favorite PUA, he has something that others don't...

And by the way, I'm a metal head and i dress like one! ;)
