I don't really use a lot of cocky funny except after I open, then I may use some stuff. I don't really like using cocky funny as an online opener because it could easily be misinterpreted as you being a xxxx.

I know on Facebook that Whoopie uses this opener that he pokes someone and when they poke back. ("Poke"- is a quick contact feature on Facebook.) When they poke back he says, "Did anyone teach you it's impolite to poke people you don't know!"

I would like some feedback/ advice. Our conversation is posted below. I would like to take it further but feel kind of stuck. I gave her my number which was a stupid mistake. She has not text/called. Thus I didn't respond for a couple of days. After those few days I told her that I was divorcing her. By that time I was ready to drop her but it I think I might still have a chance. Thanks for the help.

yeah lol i am. i am pretty excited. i actually just graduated last night, so i still feel like i'm in high school.it's pretty weird thus far. i'm so ready to move to columbus though.

You missed out this weekend though. I went to Orange Beach with my close friends to go tuna fishing on our yacht. We were about 50 miles off shore when we caught our first fish. After we got it on the yacht a friend of mine looked over the side of the yacht and yelled "SHARK". Everyone looked over the side and saw a huge Great White! it was massive! Luckily it didn't stick around long, but it was a crazy weekend with all the action.

Wow, I had a really good laugh reading that! I can tell you two are having fun and playing nicely together. LOL. Okay seriously, you did a good job with your opening. You got to do a DHV story about you being adventurous and going fishing and seeing the shark. You are holding her attention well. You then did a good step by having her imagine with you, and bantering from that fantasy. She is being playful and so are you, which is very good.

Okay you goofed up and gave her your number early. Oops! Anyways, it's done and she's still talking to you so, that is a good sign. You never really said but is this through messages or like IM? I'm guessing through messaging since it's so short. Your next step since she's a little more comfortable with you is asking her for IM. Then from IM after a while getting her #. Then from getting from talking to her on the phone to in person.

This is a slow evolution of escalating comfort to the point of her being in person. These are baby steps in many ways. Sometimes this can be done quickly and sometimes it takes weeks. It really just depends on the girl. Each situation is a little different, but similar.

So in short from whatever level of communication you're on ask for the next level and go from there. If she doesn't want to right now stay where you are, keep talking through that media for a while, then try again after a few days more.

I feel like im getting mixed emotions. Her cell is right on her facebook but that would be weird if I just called. I would rather her give it to me if she really does want to continue this. Yes, this is a shit test. Why would it be weird, she lists it on her facebook page for a reason. Some times the best thing you can do is take the intiative. Give her a call. She's an 18 yr old girl, they're always on their phone. Besides the worst thing that happens is she gets weirded out, she takes you off her buddy list, and you find another girl. What's the problem with that?

Every now and then guys we have to fail some. Yeah, I like getting the girl too but I had to fail at getting the girl a lot doing this stuff before I succeeded. So my point her is don't be afraid to fail from time to time. If you really get stuck I'm here, but sometimes you just have to try something and see what happens. This is one of those cases.

Why is she responding like that, and what is she thinking? Well, she's bantering back at you. You started it with all the marriage divorce conversation, and she's just playing back at you.

There could be someone else...You won't know unless she tells you. Until that time don't worry about it, because there is no reason to.

Well, really it's your choice where to go now. You started the thread of mistaken identity with her. Then you come down and say that you knew it wasn't her and wanted to meet her expressing interest. She responds, and now that thread is over. So you need to stack with something interesting to keep her engaged in conversation.

The reason I can't tell you exactly what to say is I don't know you. I don't know your DHV stories and stuff. You need to start flipping her attraction switches now that you have her attention. So time to DHV!

I hear what you're saying, and that's not a bad slight neg to counter that. Because it's very very easy to over neg online since you can see her body language, I typically end up putting up my own hoops for her to jump through instead, and ignore hers.
