I'm getting ready to clock out at work. There's this HB 9 that I work with that is sitting in the doorway and taking like half of it up. I need to get in there, so I walk in and pay no attention to her personal space as I am displaying Alpha body language. I slightly bump her as I walk past, completely ignoring her. I noticed it definitely caught her attention though (She's a sorority girl that is used to having guys acknowledging her). After I finish up doing what I'm doing, I walk back out and she says, "Did you just get a haircut?" I turn around and look at her, "What?!" (I wasn't expecting her to say anything to me).
"You look like you just got a haircut."
I froze up, "No, actually it just fell out."
"What?"
"Okay, yeah I did. You caught me."
Then I just walked away. About 2 seconds later she follows me into the other room expecting me to continue the conversation. I completely froze, but I could tell she was interested...Well, at least until after that.

I just needed to vent that situation. In retrospect I should have said something like, "Looks like you've got a haircut?! What kind of question is that?! Do you usually use that line to hit on guys?!"

Your right, but you still have the ball in your court. While a nice follow up line woulda been great, if you truelly did display Alpha body langauge the whole time then your off to a great start.

By not countinueing the conversation you probably did yourself a favor. She probably expected you to drone on with some lame story about how your barber uses a 3 on your head but you wished he used a 4...

Instead you brushed her off and showed her through your actions that her physical appearence is not enough to make you talk to her (aka making you intrested in her).

Next time you see her make fun of her...

neg her about some apearence of hers, neg her about a mistake she made at work, neg her and ask her if she normally picks up guys with her line...

YOU: "Hey, do you usually pick up guys with 'hey did you get a hair cut?'? Does that actually work?"

HB: "blah blah" (prob will say something along the lines of yes or no)

YOU: "WoW and i thought 'whats your sign?' was bad..." (walk away laffing)

Then lay into her the rest of the day, neg her playfully every chance you get...ask her if she got a haircut since last time you saw her.

From that point on just game her.

A good thing to say when she followed you is, "Stalking me now?! I get it, you're trying to hit on me aren't?"

But Ka is right, you are fine with brushing her off, you didn't screw yourself completely. You just need to neg her some, show her that you think she's nice, but you're not impressed by her looks and she's gonna have to DHV to you. Don't forget, none of the stuff you say, or how you act is gonna matter, unless you get some kino going. Playful pushes, or taking something from her, or giving her something and touching her hand will work in your situation. Remember that you need to slowly escalate it from just friendly stuff, to intimate touches, or putting your arm around her, or you'll end up LJBF.

She opened you. Shields are down so no reason to neg. You should be ready to move into A3 (You read that site right). Hook, reel, release.

Do not neg her unless the shields come up again.

For everyone in this thread, the hardest part for me was when to neg and not neg. This included calibrated negs or not.

It is still an area of contention for me but I do much better now.

Cocky and funny work well but those are not negs.
