OK I know this is going to sound like this is the wrong forum, but it does have to do with opening, it just has a back story. Ok I've dated this girl for a year in a half and I'm kind of over it, not to mention it's a long distance relationship for the last 3 months which makes it even worse.

On to the rest of the story... I am going to school and majoring in a field where the majority of students in my class are girls. Some fairly catty to say the least. I would say I'm fairly good looking guy, and I don't have problems talking to girls I know. Now I know it probably isn't the best idea to go telling people you don't have a girlfriend when you do. But the truth is I want out and I just wanted to dip my toes in the water to see what's out there. So I have hung out with a lot of these girls but not picked up on any of them yet. Just trying to see if I still have any skills. Well someone found my myspace and emailed pictures of me and the girls I've been hanging out with to my soon to be ex. Well not that that's a problem, bc A.) I had not done anything that would make me feel bad, it was all just freindship hanging out kind of thing, and B.) I kind of know we are at our end. However, now that that has happened, I feel awkward in the A.) breaking up and B.) in hooking up with anyone at school. I know if I pursue this track, no matter what I end up looking like a scum bag, even though I haven't done anything other than deny having a girlfriend to friends at school. I don't know who did it, but the sad thing is I think it was someone I considered a close friend. Careful who you make friends with, sometimes they can be your enemies in disguise.

End of story... I kind of think a few girls in class are kind of cute and I still want to pick them up sometime, but I don't know how to get through this situation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm still a newbie.

just start from scratch. the whole point is to have a good time on your adventures in becoming a pua. figure out a way to end the relationship with damage control (the sooner the better) and then the sky is the limit for you. hope you figure things out :D

Thanks for the pointer, but do you think it wise to attempt to go ahead with picking up girls at school, or should I just look elsewhere?

like i said. the sky is the limit. if you find girls at school... great. if you feel more comfortable finding them elsewhere... thats great too. whatever you feel comfortable in. if you are looking for the largest group of girls you should look everywhere. i mean... why not go for girls just because they are at school. just learn some openings and practice it a little at a time. i'm just learning the basics now but i'm trying to hone my openings and its been working at school, at parties, at the store, etc. just go for it wherever you want
