So as some of you know, I have C.P. and my speech is effected by that fact.
My question is... I'm able to rope in girls from the net without any problems, but when the time comes when they ask to talk to me on the phone or meet, I shut down completely and just plain avoid it. Ok she's obviously interested in me at this point, I'm just confused as to what to do at this point. Since we already have hit it off on an intellectual level, does it matter if it's hard to understand me at first? Is this just an insecurity that I project onto myself and the fear of failure? I'm not looking for one night stands or any of that type of activity, I just want to stay out of the "friends" zone

Make sure they know what to expect. Be honest and maybe joke about it some to lighten it and not make it too tense. I'm not gonna lie and tell you it is gonna be easy, but if you set it up so that she knows how you are in person and she doesn't get surprised, then its possible to get them to accept things like that.
