If he is a friend. Tell him calmly and rationally that you want him to stop. If he isn't a friend then just ignore/avoid him. If you are forced to deal with him for some reason then find a tender spot and push. Everyone has one and it is easy to find most of the time. Just be aware than he may crack your skull open, but when he picks on you again and you retort again then it shows that your skull is thicker than his hide. Eventually he will shove off or quit messing with you cause noone likes to go through the trouble of beating the crap outa someone every few days.

Hold your ground (no need to advance or push for one) and take the beating if there is one. That is the best way to get rid of him. Get my drift?

P.S. Personally, I don't see why you would have to be around him all the time and he isn't your friend... but eh.. everyone has special cases.
