Hey guys, I was wondering if everyone could provide a little input so that I can compile a list of what an alpha male should be. How should I act? What should I say? What should I do? What kind of girls will this alpha male image attracts and what kind of girls will it repel? Perhaps throw in a few examples?

You don't need to be outspoken really. But the other stuff you differently do need to be alpha. As well as be a leader. It also helps to be tall as people tend to "look up" to tall people and give them automatic social power.

1- Get rid of 'Beta Male' traits

Before you can become an alpha male, you must ditch all the body language traits which show weakness and inferior status. For instance, you should stop doing these things:

• Putting your hands in your pockets

• Fidgeting with your hands or fingers

• Slumping your shoulders down

• Folding your arms

• Looking uncomfortable

• Being afraid to take up space

If you can detect these mistakes and work hard to correct them, you'll instantly start to show more alpha male traits.

2- Be confident

There is ONE thing about being an alpha male you should always remember...

Women love confidence!

If you display confidence with your body language, you'll easily impress women. In order to show this alpha male behavior, you need to be calm and poised at all times.

Now if you have a problem with your confidence, I recommend you make an effort to fix it. So look within and find out what's causing these unconfident feelings. Then work hard at fixing them.

3- Don't worry be happy

A lot of "Beta Male" characteristics stem from nervousness and tension. If you want to act like an alpha male, you must learn to never worry about the outcome with a female.

Just remember that the dating game is not a life and death situation. So relax and enjoy your interactions with women.

Please understand that the body displays what the mind is thinking. By worrying and being nervous, you'll display inferior body language. Once you remove your anxiety you'll display a more alpha male personality.

4- Be relaxed

The alpha male ALWAYS shows a relaxed pose in every situation. So if you want to display alpha male behavior, you need to learn how to chill around women. Here are a few ways to do this:

• Your eyes concentrated on the person in the conversation

• You never let your eyes dart around the room

• You know how to lean back and look comfortable

• You breath through your stomach instead of your chest

By showing a relaxed pose, you'll easily make women more comfortable around you.

5- You move deliberately

The beta male is always jumpy and ready to please people.

Honestly, one of the core traits of a beta male is somebody who is instantly ready to do favors for people. If somebody needs help, the beta male will instantly come running.

Instead of showing this personality, you need to move slowly and at your own pace. By taking deliberate actions with every step, you'll force people to pay attention to your schedule not theirs.

If you want to attract more women, you must learn how to become an alpha male. By learning how to demonstrate this quality, you'll create a "movie star" quality about yourself. Then women will be pulled towards your magnetic personality.

Who cares? Just be secure enough in yourself that you dont feel the need to be alpha. Oh and dont care what anyone thinks of you =)
@ the second part of this: Helping someone isn't being "beta", its called being a decent person.

Why are you trying to be a alpha male?

Just be the best self you can be.... can you tell me what your purpose for this is? did someone tell you they get women through being alpha?

Back, starting over as of 2012.

developing some kind of workout routine helps out because it boosts your confidence and is good for your body in the long run. it also makes your muscles tired, which forces you to move slower and walk with better posture. after an hour or so of lifting or running, your aching muscles will become your first priority. how you look in front of others won't matter as much as finding a more relaxing way to sit or stand. a few minutes on the bike or machine works wonders if you can make it part of your schedule. good luck.

I absolutely agree with you on this

in terms of just standing, i find military parade rest to be one of the most alpha ways to stand, of course modified to not look so formal and exact.

Unless you want to make the people around you nervous.

There is no set characteristics or guidelines for being Alpha Male, Alpha Male is the leader of the group, leader of the room, the top dog if you like.

Now I asked this question when I first started out, its a common question and the best advice I recieved was "believe you are Alpha" and the rest follows, tell yourself every day your Alpha and you will believe.

Also its best not to always be Alpha as you can constantly be challenged, its best to be a dominant male and that way you can mix with everyone and get on with other Alphas

Also correct your body language

never look uncomfortable, i hate crossed arms, looks terrible.

Whilst this is true to a certain extent it wont always work, for example I find when im having a bad day I need to remind myself how to stand, sit and act. Its very hard to believe you are alpha when you are feeling like shit. However on a good day most of this stuff all comes naturally but being consciously aware of it and improving it becomes very powerful. Make a good habit of swapping beta traits for alphas and you will become a good deal more attractive in terms of body language.
