I just got into game about a week ago, when my brother lent me "The Game" by Neil Strauss. I have become very interested in the subject and go on this site everyday, after reading 20 or so pages of this book. I am already a quarter way through.

I am not taking notes. I am just reading and rereading, and asking some questions on this forum. Beyond that, I am just trying to apply what I learn in the field (in my case, school every day and any parties I go to).

Am I approaching this the right way?

How did you learn Game? How long did it take you? Did any particular methods work for you?

Thanks.

Youtube the channel pickupvideosdotde. There's 30 Mystery Method clips for you. Also look up "On Being A Man" by David Deangelo. In fact, look up every major mPUA name you hear and watch all of their videos.

Take notes. On everything.

Practice religiously on guys, girls, random strangers, etc. Skills are skills- it doesn't matter who it is, you should be able to connect with them.

It usually takes about 6 months to develop the skills, mindset, and experience you need to be *good* at PUA, but you will definitely notice an improvement within a few weeks.

I didn't take 'The Game' as a hardcore handbook or serious material. I took it more for a novel of a guy sharing his experience with us (although it does include some little pieces of stealble gambits like the Jalous Girlfirend, Best Friend Test...etc).

For actual game 'knowledge' I went to David DeAngelo's DYD and otehr series. Also Mystery Method provided some good fundemantals for working a group and understanding the stages of a pickup.

There are various viewpoints on this subject.

Its a stepping stone in the right direction, it takes as much time as you make it take. You could be a professional if it all clicks in a matter of seconds.

There are counter arguments by myself to the application of the game, and if youd like to know more just pm me! ask away anything

Make notes, try those things that you have picked up and make it happen in a bar ( or where ever ) and learn from your mistakes. What worked and what didnt work. How do i improve those things.
Experience is the key along with failure ;)

basically you gotta have the never say die attidude when becoming a PUA, the way i tackled it was thinking about every discision i made as getting pleasure and pain
Becoming a pickup artist is basically like losing weight, as you go through the short term pains of staving urself and exercising, in the long run u end up getting the long term pleasure of having a better lifestyle etc.
With pickup artistry you have to endure the pain of rejection (or approach anxiety) but through all this pain rather then losing you gain experience and from that experience you overcome the pain til eventually you get the pleasure of becoming a pick up artist :)

This little phychological trick helps me through sarging ;)
