I just graduated from highschool.
About a month before I prom, I asked a girl to prom. She was so happy to go with me and the weeks before prom she seemed pretty interested in me. She texted/call me a lot and we hung often. Then, after prom night when I was dropping her off, she kissed on the lips (but no tongue) and left very happy and I thought we would continue to go out. But after that night, she told me she's not ready for a boyfriend but really wants to keep me as a friend. However, she pretty much cut off her connections with me. Occasionally we run into each other and we would have a short chit chat but thats it.

The weird thing is that her friends said that this girl talks about me and that she most likely still likes me, but Idk why she isn't talking to me like she used to and I really want to restore that connection again. I'm so confused... what should I do?

Maybe she really just doesn't want a boyfriend at this moment in time. Just cut all contact with her or else you will be put into the lets just be friends category.

She texted me and said she wasn't ready for another relationship as she just broke up with her boyfriend. So I just cut all contact with for like almost a year. Now she is interested in me again.

Stop chasing her and try to forget about her. Go out and find some other HB's.
