good opener?

So, I was at a mall near my house the other day and there is a kiosk that sells watches and there is a big sign that says "Watch Batteries: $7.99"

There are some benches a few feet away. I was wondering, would it be a good opener to sit on one of the benches and if a chick walks by say something along the lines of "Hey, would you pay 8 bucks just to look at a couple of batteries?" and point at the sign?

its a pun... a play on words... Watch batteries as in look at them instead of what the sign means which is batteries for watches. I thought it was hilarious.

And I just saw it today and didn't have time to actually try it. I will next time I'm there
