| Hello, Fidelity.
The most vital aspect of a communication is the question. The question is the Engine which drives and steers the conversation.
You should primarily concentrate on asking questions to prolong the conversation. Conversely, making statements usually results in no responses or very poor responses.
For example:
You: Shoes are cool
Her: ... Yeah. They are.
You: I really like Brown ones.
Her: ...
You: Laces are difficult to tie so I use velcro.
Her: ok
Making statements doesn't give her an incentive to reply. this is the most important lesson I've ever learned.
If you make a statement, always follow up with a question. For example:
Me: I love the ice cream here, chocolate's my favourite. Are you a fan of ice cream?
Her: Yeah I am. Strawberry's my favourite.
Me: Awesome. Sometimes I like to put sauce on my ice cream. Do you live around here?
Her: Yeah... I live just over there.
Me: Cool It's a nice area around here. I'm over here on holiday. It's quite cold where I'm from, but it's quite pleasant here. Do you like it here? Have you ever thought about moving away? (two questions here, you'll note)
Her: Sometimes yeah. But I like sunny places.
Me: That's cool, because I could picture you sitting on a beach drinking a nice, tropical drink. You're cool. What do you do for fun around here?
The above example shows me dominant framing! Ok, it's not a great conversation, but what it shows is that Human beings have a strong inclination to respond to questions. NOTICE that it's me who's asking ALL the questions and generating the conversation whilst she passively follows my lead. She might ask questions which you can respond to, but your duty as a PUA is to lead and dominate the interaction.
Also, there is also a technique called stacking.
You have your opener. But openers can be used as you advance into the conversation. You can start of with the sunglasses opener, and then once you've had a brief interaction using the technique above, use another opener such as Gay shirt opener mid way into the interaction, whilst throwing in other routines.
