Okay, so I met this HB8 a few weeks ago and got her number. I met up with her a week later and then had an f-close. I sent a couple txt's the following week just friendly flirting.

Me: Hey, meet up for a drink this week?
HB: I dont go out on school nights
Me: I didnt realize you were such a good girl
HB: Yeah, thats my rule
Me: Then I will catch up with you this weekend. But let me know if you want to break your rule.
HB: Haha, ok

As it got closer to the weekend I sent her this

Me: Too bad you dont go out for drinks on week nights
HB: Yeah too bad
Me: You going to give me a chance to convince you to break your rule?

Then I got no reply. That was Thursday. Friday I sent her another text

Me: Grab a bite to eat tonight?

And I still get no response. So I havent tried to contact her again. I had another girl lined up for Saturday night so I just left it alone.

How did I mess this up? Any suggestions of a way to recover and proceed?

You came across a little needy. Plus you gave the impression you had alot of free time or were willing to drop prior commitments if she said she was free (DLV).

You shouldn't really ask her for a drink. Tell her you are doing x, and she should come along etc...

So alter your approach to setting up a day 2, theres loads of material here (use search) and DHV (play it very cool and give the impression of a busy and exciting social calendar!). Asking out for a drink / meal puts her in an awkward position where she thinks you are expecting more and she won't be relaxed or include to accept the offer.

Cut this HB loose, unless she initiates conversation.

Learn for your next target - don't be too nice in trying to meet up with her. If she doesn't want to see you again, its her loss and she is the one missing out! You have tonnes of other HB's waiting...

how about texting her A LOT!!.. should've stopped after the first text conversation.. wait for her to reply.. if she really wanted to go out and break the rule.. she'll let you know.. (by the way.. this is a shit test.. not going out on a school night) by texting her this much.. comes of needy.. and seems like you have no other girl to go out with other than her..

how to fix this?.. stop texting her! let he reply.. on her on time.. she could be busy with school work too.. so just play it cool and go out with your other friends..

I know I will run into her again sometime so in the meantime I should just back off. She may end up txting me again but who knows.

You guys are right. I think sometimes what seems like the 'right thing to do', which in this case what I thought was to stay in touch can come off needy. I should just back off and let her come back to me I suppose. There are certainly plenty others out there.
