If a chick says im cute, or have a good body, what do i respond with?

I either say thanks or neg myself jokingly. But i feel like i should give her a compliment back. But if a chick says, "you're cute, then i say "you're cute too." It seems kind of like a lame response. Any better responses to compliments?

Okay, so this is straight out of "The Game," but it resonated with me. When somebody compliments you, just thank them. According to Style, it's the only self-assured response you can make.

Here's my elaboration on that idea. If you embellish: "Thanks, but I don't look like anything special," you come across as needy and searching for additional validation.
If you respond in kind, "Thanks. You look fabulous too," I can see several negative outcomes. One, you reinforce for the girl that giving a compliment is a means of getting validation in return. Two, you cheapen the exchange by turning it into a dull, rote conversation.

so what is a good line to say back if they compliment you on your looks, not clothing?

If girls compliment me I usually just end up agreeing with their opinion. I take the Cocky/Funny route here, and it evolves into more flirting.

For example, here's some text messages I exchanged with this girl after I had lunch with her yesterday:

her: you're kinda cute
me: I'm very sexy
her: yeah totally
her(again): I'm sexier
me: prove it
her: how do you want me to prove it?
me: we'll see
her: what are u up to now
me: class
her: funsies! what class
me: (didn't respond)

That's a stylistic choice, though. I can imagine doing a bunch of other good stuff in response to a compliment.

I agree anything cocky/funny is ideal here.

I've just thought of something; has anyone tried the "I have a girlfriend" answer (with a wink maybe)? Taking in mind girls use the "I have a boyfriend" one.
