i think it's cause im in high school and when i say a neg you know just to practice. it comes off really rude i think.
are there anyways to make compliment negs like( i like you hair is it real?)
or just negs that dont make me seem arrogant

Well what it seems you're saying is an insult (saying someone's unintelligent, ugly, incompetent, fat, that their fasion sense sucks etc)

Compliment (look nice, cool jeans, nice hairstyle)

Now neg is neither, like a remark on some humane thing, but will get them thinking about it (natural haircolor? are the nails real? that she talks fast/slow, that they ask a lot of questions..whatever) but be sort of joking about it and that it's no big deal, strike back with a small compliment

You're not supposed to be hurting their feelings lol

The result of a well delivered neg should be laughter, maybe shocked laughter but all the same. The best example that always comes to my mind is "Yeah I do a little modeling." to which you reply "What? Like hand modeling?"

I dont know how you deliver the neg but as syle says you throw it like a pebble.

Just throw it and continue with the conversation before they can even process what happened.
