ok so this hb8 and i went on a first date and it all went well, we decided to go on a second one this weekend, but she canceled. She didnt tell me untill I actually messaged her on how her day was. Now, i rescheduled and she said she has finals so she cant go out. Understandable since I do too. Then i just told her that ill call her when something comes up after the finals, but she told me that she will be going to her home country for 3 weeks

what should i do?

If you go to university (or HS where the girl is leaving for the break), this is a really bad time to start a LTR. I sorta that last year with a girl and it was so shaky. It was an open relationship but still, I didn't want to have to call her long distance and such over the break, and when we came back there was definitely a lot of awkwardness. Knowing what I know now, if I were in your situation I would stop pursuing it, at least for the moment. Let her know that it's all cool, and sub communicate that your life is what's most important to you. If she wants to tag along then that would be great, but you in no way need her. You can try to initiate a casual 'hangout' after you return to school though.
