Where do you go to get a makeover? You always see these shows on TV that take people to hair stylist, clothe styslist, skin specialist, spray tan, etc.

But in real life none exactly come to mind. Supercut? I'm guessing no. Gene Juarez? Never tried them, but I heard their expensive. Alas, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy?

I don't just want a hair cut for example (which I can get from anywhere). I want advise, somebody who can give me their expertise and skills on haircut and clothe that works for me (or makes me look good); without of course breaking the bank or being too extreme with the makeover (i.e., I still have to go back to work the next day; I don't need/want my eyebrows plucked--a little trimming is okay, but nothing effeminate; etc.).

By the way, my co-worker seems to have a tan all the time, nothing dark, just not pale, it looks pretty natural. I noticed once from the side of his face, there was a border between his face and neck. Face was darker then the neck. Huh? But it gives him that just came out of the shower look, glowing and healthy. But the funny thing is he seems to have this all the time? How do I achieve this?

There are days in the morning where I could use a little color--especially it being winter now. (A girl classmate once told me, you need makeup, and I told her you don't? How is this relevant? I don't know. Maybe the reality that I do need color in the morning, but this was summer. I guess I also love re-living empowering positive moments in my life.)

You can hire an image consultant, an old client of mine charges around $400-$1k+, she's currently in SF, but she'll fly to wherever you want. You can probably hire one in your city for cheaper though.

Hire a private stylist. They won't just cut your hair but they will advise you on what clothes to wear, ect.

my friend, forget this shit about hiring people. instead, try to BEFRIEND some people who would have extensive knowledge in said fields. for example, get friendly with a hairstylist who knows what he's doing, et cetera.

the "game" that we play is not singular. it is not reserved for women alone, but can and should be applied to all interactions. you should be gaming every person you meet, because you want to be able to relate to people, and to connect with people. ALL PEOPLE. the objective is to be as sociable as possible. 8)

also, why the fuck do you think you need a make over dude? go out with the following attitude: I am the best, the greatest. and i am comfortable with who i am. I am the best me.

lol dude. 8)

I shall be playing Devil's Advocate here and I will say to you... On the topic of physical image, i.e clothing, hairstyles etc, disregard what has been said.

I do, however, feel that in Grannysnatcher's post some very important things have been touched on.

Give the "Vs" to the whole makeover thing and image consultant/stylist (unless you have a serious issue, the only one that springs to mind is if you are blind), change is supposed to be gradual and most of all comfortable to you. Buy clothes that you feel comfortable in as that will make you feel better and help you in projecting a positive and confident image. There really is no need to go and break the bank by buying stupidly priced designer label clothes, although there is no harm in doing this unless they have stupidly large brand names printed across them.

I cannot stress enough the importance of wearing stuff that is comfortable to you personally and makes you feel confident. I recently got myself a new coat that I LOVE, it's not tatty or "cool", it's smart. I was on the train feeling like THE man and noticed an attractive girl (probably a 7 or 8 if you REALLY need the details) literally undressing me with her eyes. I say undressing, it was more like undressing and having the wildest sex with me  and when I left the train it looked like the poor girl was going to cry as I hadn't said anything to her (I was feeling tired and wanted to get a move on back to my flat after a long weekend)

Above all else on this subject is hygiene, keep your hair and everything else TIDY. Experiment with different hairstyles and facial hairstyles. Again, something that YOU are confident with.

Just remember, cleanliness is next to Godliness.

My sister is my personal stylist, she dress me really well. Real classy now, looking professional in my dress and appearance helps. Here some little advice if hair is also part of the issue, if you have this whole "shaggy" or "messy" look, SHAVE THAT SHIT OFF. Especially if you know nothing about doing your hair. I had that whole messy look for awhile before I just shave it all off. It looks so much better now.

this is interesting, because it brings up the fact that there is a difference between being comfortable with oneself, and thus well groomed as mystery would put it, and thinking that one has to completely change their appearance. have some pride in yourself brotha. 8)

Scott said it.

Might I also add, the amount of cash you spend on your clothes or your looks, will not make you a different person. You can still look good in clothes that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. Now, if you can afford to, by all means...

If you're like me, don't rush out and blow two hundred dollars on an outfit with the misconception that a change in image will result in a change in yourself or your game.

A hair cut is a hair cut wherever you go, IMHO. Just don't be afraid to voice what you want. In all honesty, if you're having trouble deciding what looks good on you, grab someone while you're trying them on to give you feed back. Most of the time, the retailers or salesperson are more than happy to help you find what works for you. In fact, in my experience, they rather enjoy having a personal dress up doll at their disposal.
