So me and my ex, talked for the first time in like 6 months the otherday. We go to the same school and have a few classes together but we finally talked (she doesnt know when to shut the hell up). so she texted me later that day and was like do you still hate me?

blah blah random bull shit for a good 10 mins. she throws in some IOIs and then after a while says she's at her bfs and needs to go (thank god)

next morning i awake to a txt from her bff telling me to stop hitting on her or he'll kill me from her phone and yet she still tries to initiate conversations with me on txt and at school. watdafuxup?

Well the bf is obviously jealous of the attention she is giving you. I wouldn't worry about him. However, that doesn't mean you should be pursuing her either...not yet atleast. I'm thinking maybe she just likes the attention, but maybe she still has feelings for you too, again it's tough to tell. For now, just go with the flow and see what happens.
