I realize that if Religion is pretty risky, especially in a group setting because somebody will inevitably bring up some weird religious ideal and people will start arguing over it.

But what about when used to, maybe, elicit her thoughts on what makes her feel secure. Or how she feels about this or that. In other words taking the unnecessary conflict out of it.

What do you guys think?

I'm gonna say no on this one.

Namely because you don't KNOW her religion, so you could be making her feel very uncomfortable.

Also it's a discussion that doesn't really go anywhere.

If you start talking about religion to a girl, you don't have the opportunity to DHV or anything like that.

I'd recommend you avoid it. It's also something the better guys consider a subject on AFCs will do.

Good idea, but not the best.

Yea, stay away from religion. However, spirituality and concepts like 'fate' or 'destiny' are golden. Also new-age stuff like palm readings, cold readings, tarrot, astrology, and mind tricks are very powerful. Having a mysterious and intriguing side to you is a major turn on for girls, but unless you meet this girl in church I wouldn't talk much about religion (even then I wouldn't really).

On the whole, yeah, it can be a divisive topic. However, bear in mind girls do dream of their big white church wedding. If you happen to be of the same denomination as the girl, don't underestimate this fact will register with her, as it will mean an easy process to get to that day.
Not that these things should really matter, but hey, life sucks. :(

It's good fluff talk. I enjoy having existential debates and have spent a lot of time doing so, but very rarely with women and even more rarely women that I'm interested in or having a relationship with. Even once a relationship has started it's still dangerous territory because you don't know how they truly feel about religion and people often don't give their true feelings because it is a controversial subject. About all you can do with this topic is demonstrate a level of intelligence based upon your views and how you express them.

Yeah thanks, I was thinking more along the lines of spirituality and the "magical" states it can elicit. Obviously if she is Jewish or something and I start talking about Jesus then we are going to have a problem LOL.

Huh? So absolutely nothing to do with mainstream religions, just things like energy and stuff?
