So i went out tonight and thought it was gonna be plain sailing but the girl i really like was 'engaged' i feel like failure because i dint pick her up still, i thought it was just a shit test but it was actually like telling a crack addict to give up drugs. what should i have done?

I know some girls who wear rings on their engagement fingers, but if they meet a guy they like, they take the fuckin thing off. They never call attention to the fact that they're "engaged" because most guys aren't looking for a ring and if they happen to like him, he won't notice when she removes it. If she calls attention to it, the ring is there to substantiate her claim - and if this happens, it means she really is engaged, or she just plain isn't into you.

Big whoop, you didn't pick up a girl. Move onto the next one... even if you get blown out hard, she's doing you a favour. It's far better for her to tell you she's not interested than feign interest and waste your time when you could be off having fun with another girl who genuinely enjoys your company. I've said this before, not every woman you talk to will be attracted to you, whether it be instantly or otherwise. And sometimes even if she is attracted to you she still won't actually do anything about it. One of my rules is, she either likes you or she doesn't - it's up to you to find out which and act accordingly. But if she doesn't seem interested she might just be testing you to see how persistent you are, right? Well, be persistent and see how she reacts, just don't go overboard with it. It's all you can do.

DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT fuck up a marriage. I'm currently in the middle of something where I am fucking up my best friends marriage. It is nothing related to pick up. I was talking about shit tests. Whether they are married or just have a "boyfriend". My response works for either. Use it when you choose.

I was just speaking from personal experience. I wasn't trying to attack anyone. Just getting my opinion out there. I'm sorry if you felt attacked. It was really just to stop someone else from making the same mistake I did.
