so i went out with the boys last night, not particularly to sarge, but one of the lads who was out introduced me to "the game" where we live is quite a small place so he wanted us to keep the game a little bit of a secret so that there wasnt more competition. hah anyway...

when we got into the club... i walked into the room with a lung full of air smiling, and straight away i got eye contact with a hot girl, i decided to play it off asthough i hadnt noticed her looking at me, walked straight past her to the bar.

later i was on the dance floor (which is never a good thing) lol
and i noticed this girl again to my side, i grabbed my friend (the one who knows about the game) and said, wing me... just go along with what i say! so i steped back from him and said loudly "no it fucking isnt!"

i turned to the girl

opened with "excuse me could i borrow you for two seconds? could you settle a dispute, what colour would you say my hair is?"

she said brown!

i turned to my friend game him the V's and said HAH! to my suprise the girl done the same! (not so much an IOI but she was on my side)

i then went on to explain how my hair had went ginger after i used some chemical hair straightening stuff (thats right i was pulling the metrosexual card!)... so i had to die my hair brown again, but all my friends keep saing its black, and they call me a goth.

she leant in a bit closer to inspect and said "no its deffinatley brown"

i then through in a 'neg' , grabbing hold of hair hair and lifting it a little i said "is this your natural colour?"

"no"

"i didnt think so! but it looks lovely"

she then asked if i lived in the town, i said "yeah, but dont hold it against me"

i then said "you dont sound like ur from around here, i like ur accent, where abouts are you from?"

"york"

"bit of a distance to come for a night out?"

"iv just moved here to go to college,"

"ohh so are you in a student house?"
"yeh"
"where abouts, i know there are some nice ones around here"
" *something* street, where do you live?"
"well, im actually at my parents at the moment, its just while i renevate my new house."
"ohh cool, you bought it yourself?"
"yeh it was a shit hole when i got it tho, im just doing all the plumbing at the minute"

she then grabbed my side and said "ohh jack of all trades are ya?"
"you could say that"
"so what are you doing at college?"
she told me it was some kind of art degree.
"ohh cool, i love drawing"
"mee too, but im better at painting"

so i pulled my phone out and said " put your number in there and when i need to paint my house il give you a ring?"

she took the phone and said "i want paying tho haha" i think she was joking!

she handed me my fone and said "its under Laura york"
then from the massive speaker behind me the dj said "mummble mummble mummble this one goes out to laura!" she turned to her friends and started dancing.

i turned to my friends who were stood with shocked faces..
after the song had finished she came back over to me! and said "sorry to cut the convosation short" i didnt turn all the way round i was stood with my shoulder pointing at her. she continued "i had to dance for that song, its our song" refering to her friends...
"no worries, its a good song "

her friend grabbed her amr and tried to drag her away, she pulled back and said
"ohh i htink i have to go,"
so i leant in put my hand on her side and said more or less in her ear
"ok darling, it was nice talking to you, maybe we could finish our conversation some time?"
"yeh id like that,"

and that was about it, not a kiss close,
im not sure if it was even a number close lol
but i got her number

i know that was a bit of a novel but thanks for reading, id love some tips and crits on how i did?
this was my first approach since reading the game

I think it was a very good sarge. I like the fact that even though you are new to PU, you still took the time to make your own unique opener instead of using the same old canned ones from the book. It was a good opener too, it lead seamlessly into conversation, DHV-ing, light kino, and negging. I love the way you described your living situation. Most guys are so insecure about living with their parents that they would have just changed topics altogether. You actually used it to DHV, very good. The number close was good too, you tied it into the conversation without making it awkward. You couldn’t have helped having her friends pull her away, that was out of your control. If you would have had a few more minutes I’m sure you could have k-closed and maybe even venue changed, but shit happens. I’d say all and all, a good sarge. If this is how you’re starting out, you’re going to do really well in PU.

well played my friend well played. The fact that she came back to you is a good thing. means she intrested in you. You did get a number close hence.. her # lol. i like the "put your number in there and when i need to paint my house il give you a ring?" nice way to # close. keep it up. For it being your first time i'm impressed. i remembered my frist time oh man epic fail! Let us know how the second date goes. get em tiger!
