Ok, i've been reading material on Mystery Method for a few weeks and today i decided to field test it.

My main problem was that i could not relate with totaly strangers, women or men. Like I would no ask for the time for a stranger in the street. So for me it's not just about pick up girls. Enough bullshit, cutting to the field.

I went to the field wearing a sccotish kilt (I live in Brazil), a black shirt and lether boots. The kilt was meant to peacock.

The first set i approached was a set with 2 girls in a table. I had no target but didn't want to break the 3s rule, they were cute, but not hot. I opened with "I need a female opinion, it will only take 2min. I was talking to my friends and they said my beard make me look gay, do you agree?" We started to talk and in less then a minute i had seat to the table. We started to talk and i was funny, they laughed and we all were having a good time, but i couldn't move forward. i choosed a target late in the conversation and could not find a way to close her. So, before i started to be boring i left the set. The talk was funny but i didn't have any IOIs, i think it is because i had no initial target and didn't NEG or tease her. should i keep the conversation and try the IOIs or i did well leaving while i was cool?

The second set... well, the second set approached me ... i was leaving the toilet and a girl showed me to her friends "look, a guy in a kilt!" ... i walked towards them and started chatting. It was a 3 girls and 1 guy set. 2 girls came to me and started giving strong IOIs like "you are the prettier guy in the club" "loved your style" ... i was shocked and didn't know what to do. I didn't need to NEG them because they were already giving IOIs, i felt like i could kiss close both there, but it would be fool mate, and i want to learn the real game!

The third set was a 4 girls set. I did the 80's puppies opener and 3 of them was receptive, the other didn't want to hear and got away from us. Again i didn't have a target, and played a ugly game. We had a nice chat, they were funny and gave me some IOIs, like pulling me back when pretended to leave. But didn't close either.

One mistake i can see i am repeating a lot is getting to the set without a target. I am so fond that i can now talk to strangers that i just get into the set to see if i can do it. I had little KINO and got some IOIs, but don't know what to do with them :/

You make it sound like you're being employed by the CIA on an assassination mission. Take the gravity out of the situation a bit. You're just learning how to connect with people.

I think you weren't connecting with these women because you weren't truly listening to them. You were simply trying to take whatever happened in the interaction and apply it to a formula, and life is far too dynamic for that. You have to learn to be in the moment and put aside that mental checklist you go through every time you talk to a woman(Opener-check, A1-check, etc.).

Although, I am glad that you're actually getting out there and bouncing around with people. It takes guts and confidence to do that. I really hope you keep at it.

But before you become a slave to canned material, read some of Juggler's stuff. He teaches natural game and complete mental fluidity in an interaction.
