guys, is anyone else finding that the popularity of the game is becoming a slight problem? last night, sarging in a student event. plenty of early success, but then had a few setbacks that really got me thinking.

basically, it seems to me that too many people are aware of the game. so whenever you try something unusual, there is a danger that someone will immediately bring the game up and undermine you.

how do people deal with this situation? say you walk over to a set and start talking and someone says, "have you read the game?". i know there is always the complete denial, but i think it's a tough one to retrieve from there.

Perfect situation man.
"Yea, I have! I love the psychology and theory behind social dynamics and find it so fascinating!"
You can literally talk to the girl for half an hour about the techniques and practicality of picking up women and she will dig it. You can still build attraction and make her interested in you, by just being yourself.

It will fade with time. Give it about five years, and then most newbies will have given up because of frustration and lack of endurance, determination.

And then we will once again be practicing an obscure, secret art.

way I see it if you are failing sets you are using canned material. On the upside it is caned material adn a lack of initiative which will let real PUA's survive whilst AFCs get called time after time for using canned routines

From what I can tell, people only really know about "the game"... and they just know about it, unless you run into a PUA few have actually read it cover to cover. So as long as you diverify your reading into other methods, you won't come across as someone using stuff from "the game". I think it is mostly the guys using openers and routines from the actual book that get caught the most. Hell, there is a part in the book where guys get caught using the already overused openers.

Search the forum, this topic has been discussed TO DEATH. I'd suggest searching for things about the VH1 Pickup Artist show that were posted over the last year (there's about a hundred of them).
