Hey guys. When is using jealousy plot line and playing girls off each other a bad idea?

So tonight I'm seeing this girl again (Alanna). She lives on residence with me and is kind of a fuck buddy. However she really likes me and I think wants a relationship. I don't really want a relationship with her though.

Tomorrow night I am seeing a different girl (Kelsey) who I've met and hung out a lot with. She is really cute and really interesting to talk to. She's the type of girl I might have gotten an AFC crush on back in the day and done nothing about. She also likes me but we have not hooked up. I would like to start seeing her in a semi-long term, perhaps exclusive relationship. Tomorrow night we are going to party though with a bunch of people and she is just going to hang out with me (although I am quite confident I can at LEAST k-close her). Alanna wants to come too and party with us but I don't know if that is a good idea.

I haven't told Alanna that I'm interested in another girl, nor have I told Kelsey about her. Basically I want your guys opinion on what would be best. I know about the whole jealousy plot line and I know that a situation is only awkward if you make it awkward, but having two girls over (one that I'm fucking, the other that I am quite interested in) at the same time would be a little weird. A threesome is out of the question right now, unless they both get completely smashed then maybe . What do you guys think?

i think the fact that you're busy fucking the one could fuck up the jealousy plot with the other girl you're interested in. if she finds out that you're fucking someone else... well... i'm pretty sure she's going to put up her guards again so that she doesnt become "that" girl, you know?

i'd just have a talk with the fuck buddy and tell her that you're interested in someone else (dont mention names). dont think a jealousy plot will be a good idea here... but then again, i havent tried any jealousy plots yet and im just going on what i've read and what my instincts tell me.

Jealousy plot lines are good, but one is always a pawn and the other is always the target. This is why they are usually done with female friends or strangers. You can't keep both, because the target needs to feel like she won. You may be able to get this kelsey, but you will alienate Alanna. I don't think you want to waste a perfectly good fuck buddy, just to k-close. And, since Alanna is emotionally invested in you, she will make a scene and probably ruin your chances with Kelsey. I say go alone, or don't go at all. No appearance is better than a bad one.

you'll probably have to cut ties with Alanna if you want to date Kelsey, fuck buddies can mess things up badly if they are emotionally invested.

Go with just Kelsey, for the reasons that were already stated about alienating one or both of them due to the fact that Allana is a FB and not someone you want to use as a pawn. Trying to run jealousy between the two of them is going to destroy one of both relationships and you don't want to do that when you can just not include one girl and end up maintaining a civil relationship with her.

Ok thanks guys. I'm just going to have fun tonight, and not invite Alanna over tomorrow. If Kelsey and I truly connect then I guess I'm going to have to cut Alanna. Pitty, she's a hotty.

God damnit, Alanna blew me off because she had to write an essay. Fuck. Instead tonight I just was a complete AFC and went to the campus pub and got wasted with my roomies and friends. Now she is pretty much begging me to hang out tomorrow when I am going to game Kelsey. Blah! Damn girls making it difficult on me...

I would just go with: "Don't ask, Don't tell." In the game, Style was hooking up with 10 girls all at the same time. Most of them knew about it, and they were okay with it
