| A few days later she called me up saying that she had lost some pages from her workbook and wanted to know if I could help her out by letting her borrow the book so she can Kinkos the pages. I forget what we said exactly, but we settled on the plan to go to Kinkos together. But first we had to go to my house to get my workbook, so we convoyed there (I drove ahead while doing weird stuff with my turn signal lights to be funny). When we got there, we went into my room and I picked up my guitar, plugged it in and started jamming away (strangely, she is the only girl who has ever seen me play guitar and not commented on how great I was). She said "Can I have a look around your room?" and I said "yeah, sure." She just walked through and into my closet and then back out (pretty weird, I really don't know why she did that. But in retrospect, I probably should have said "No, you can't" or "don't touch the skeletons" if she goes into my closet"). She wanted to play with my other guitar but it was left handed, so I told her she should go into my brother's room to get his right handed guitar. She came back with that one and plugged it into my other amp and played it a bit. She really sucked, so I turned off her distortion and said "man that sounds way better."
Anyway, we took her car to Kinkos after that and made 2 copies of each of the workbook pages we needed (she paid for mine too, nice girl). She made me hold her purse + keys while she was using the machine, so I quickly thought "uh oh, how can I not make this AFC?" Well, I just opened her purse and started looking through it while commenting on the cards and other things in it and she was like "hey! if you find something there you dont like, dont blame me." My C&F seemed to be working well so far.
After that I convinced her to go to this burrito place with me in the same mall. While we were walking there, I noticed she was walking on the outside of the sidewalk and commented on it, saying "You are being very chivalrous, by the way." She said "You're right, paying for your copies and giving you a ride too." She paused, and HERE CAME THE SHIT TEST!
"But don't expect anything more" she said. But I was ready:
"Oh I'd expect WAY more gifts and money being spent on me before I put out for YOU." Then she kinda laughed (trying not to) and said "I'm not hoping for you to put out." I didn't say anything to that, I just ignored it. Not sure what else I shoulda done.
When we got to the burrito place, she asked if we could go to the sushi place next to it instead, but I just said "nah, that place looks like bad news. I'd rather have a burrito."
While we're eating, she gets serious and asks me if I still have my girlfriend (I guess she overheard some conversation of mine last semester). I just said "No. Do you still have your boyfriend?" (I know, I probably could have said something better, but I wasn't sure what). She also says no. She asks me when I broke up with her and why; I said about 2 months ago, and that it was very complicated, there were many reasons. Then she starts asking me lots of questions about my Tourettes syndrome, how it effects me and how I deal with it. I told her that if I didn't have it, I wouldn't be the same person, and I wouldn't be as good at music or the other things I do. I told her that when you play the blues, you can't just play it, you have to LIVE it.
Then I suggested that she write me a poem to try and impress me, and she said "I'll do one right now." Then she improvised a nice poem about me right infront of me and it was very great and thoughtful. At the end I said "wow, that was great, you should write that down and put it on your Facebook" (Looking back, I think it might have been better for me to say something like "Well I must say, out of all the poems that girls have written for me, that one ranks in the top 10" [DD style] or "Wow, that was beautiful. Where have you been all my life?" [Juggler style].)
On our way back, we were talking about music and how she wants to pick up the violin, and I told her a bit about a music store near my house and she says "Can we go there?" and I say sure. So we get there and she gets a violin to try out while I browse through some sheet music. Then I go into the practice room with her and we take turns playing it together, and I show her some stuff while taking her hands and guiding them (kino). Then we're done, so I buy a tin whistle and we leave. I play the whistle a bit while we're in the car and we have a good laugh about it together, then she drops me off and says "I must say, that violin excursion would have to be the most fun thing I've done in awhile."
So guys, how'd I do so far?
