Right I'm going out to a completely different city tonight with Maestro and Mintbase from here. This time I'm going to approach each and every set I see, even if the girls are hb2's.

Your routine looks fine, maybe its your inner game? You didn't have any framing when you talk with her, and what would happen if something went wrong? Try to add a little framing during the conversation, I recommand real social dynamics by swinggcat
