I'm 34 and have been exploring the world one nightclub at a time since I was 18. I'm the oldest 25 year old I know I probably need to grow up at some point.

Anyway now I'm an RAFC I've noticed a new phenomena:

AFC omega_unit conversation:

HB: How old are you?
omega: Guess...
HB: err... 25
omega: nope 34
HB: omg, no waaay!!!!! you're so cool, you're my inspiration, yada yada yada.


RAFC version:

HB: So, how old are you?
omega: Guess...
HB: err ... 25
omega: nope, 34
HB: *pause for internal struggle* I can't believe you're that old. Oh.


Neither scenario worked out for me

Any ideas on how I handle this?

avoid the age question, or work areas where it wont be an issue.

i.e. dont go to university bars.. you will be 'creepy' unless you have a good reason to be there. Visiting your younger brother. Follow up with a comment about how 'YOUNG' everyone is.. maybe even how IMMATURE they are. This shifts the power from being 'young and cool and hot' to being 'older, wiser, more mature'

Sensible approach. The age thing has to be their problem not mine.

You know sometimes even if the answers are kinda obvious when you read them, you still need to read them.

Think I'll hit more mainstream clubs, I'd expect to see more milfs there. Even if the beats are chronically bad, I'll just keep telling myself that's not why I'm there
