Ive met this girl for about a month now. we went out on a date once & i guess MOST of you would say i blew it cause i told her i like her just 1 week after knowing her. Well she said she isn't looking for a guy right now cause she just broke up with her ex boyfriend 5 months ago. We are still texting & talking on the phone, so i guess is a good thing. Anyway any ideas or advice?

Ok yea thats not something you should have said..As for what the gentleman who responded first said,that was rude he is a newbie who doesn't know the game all that well you were in his shoes at one time..Ok eric granted you said you liked her that isn't the end of gaming her...She said she wasn't looking for a guy right now,well be a friend build the atraction for you,show her your the prize...Just don't fall in the LJBF catagory...Keep working her,but don't make her the main focus eric..Just DHV yourself never talk about her ex...You will be fine man...

Stop talking to her, see what she does. Does she look for you? if she does in what way? Start acting indifferent, might be hard but the best way to do this is actually finding somebody else to hit on.

Remember, there is no wrong time, for Mr. Right. She doesn't see you as Mr. Right and the 5month brake up is a cover up to not hurt your feelings.

Next time she tells you that, tell her: "wooo!! stop the train, I just want to be your friend! don't think about a relationship with me, you have to prove to me that you can be more than just a friend before even talking about that." Make sure you say it so that she is not sure if you are joking or you are serious. Then go from there, Try to let her know that she doesn't have you all figured out, and that you actually have a little bit of mystery in you.

Have you ever tried to escalate? go for a kiss? maybe she truly doesn't want to be in a relationship. Let her know that you don't want to either. (obviously don't be as direct, but hint towards it), and let her know that you won't fall in love with her. Also stop holding hands with her! She just likes it because that is her way of knowing you are head over heels for her. Be harder to get, just think of you as the price, instead of the other way around it, if she works hard for it, then and only then, hold her hands.

If she really likes you, then just go ahead, have sex with her. Simple when you have figured her out already.

Agreed with everyone above it's REALLY bad to be talking/texting her after she says that. Shes putting you squarely in the friend zone, and probably using you for her own validiation seeking while she goes out and blows some other guy.

Yes, its hard to do but if you really like her you have to cut off ALL communication with her and if you do see her tell her all about the "new girl" you're banging but you can't stand her because shes frigging CRAZY! etc. etc. If you can actually do this and display it in front of her even better, she has to know you have other options.
