Gents,
I met a girl a couple of weeks ago and I need some advice.

A friend set me up with this girl. Basically, I went to meet this friend, a female, for coffee. Unbeknownst to me, she invited her friend, call her Betty, a very attractive female who I had met once for about ten seconds.

The three of us had dinner. During the dinner, I made them both laugh, etc.

I got Betty's number through my friend the following week.

I text-messaged Betty to see about meeting up. She wrote back that she had no plans to come into town that weekend. So, I was thinking - to hell with her.

Later, I made plans with my friend. Then, Betty sms'd saying she would see me with out mutual friend. I'm not too impressed with her at this point.

We all get together at my friend's place, then head to a small party. During the party, Betty displays very little interest. Because of this and the fact that she is very interested in drinking, I don't pay too much attention to her either. She doesn't seem to mind.

But, I'm new in town and thinking what the hell? So, the next day I send her an sms asking if she wants to get together. She doesn't reply.

One week later, I am sitting here bored out of my mind because I know almost no one in town and I text her again saying essentially, look, I'm giving you another shot, do you want to get together. No reply that afternoon. So, I erase her number so that I don't write her again.

However, she writes me back the next day saying, I'm sorry I didn't write back sooner. I'm busy. But, if you want to meet for coffee, we can. So, I write back and say, let's meet for a coffee break this weekend.

She writes back telling me that she will be at the coffee shop all afternoon tomorrow, that I can come meet her if I want.

Her attitude is - I'm not too interested, you can meet me if you want, I won't go out of my way to meet you, I'll be here regardless. Basically, disinterested. To which I am inclined to reply, seriously, take a hike. But, I'm looking to get somewhere. What should I do?

The coffee shop is kind of a hike from where I live and a pain in the ass to get to. But, I do have one reason to be in that place other than meeting her, so I could stop by briefly and be in a rush.

Any thoughts?
