Yes it isn't full of PUA material, but it shows how a AFC became one of the best PUA's in the world. It is motivating to know almost anyone can do it. I wouldn't use any of the routines that you read in there because they are all over used, but look at them as a template for making your own.

Listen The Game by Neil Strauss is a good book but is more of an insight of into PUA.

The Mystery Method is fantastic I have just read it and wow it tell you advice an just about every sitaution and is also only 220 odd pages so you can read it in a week. I have read The Game & The Rules of the Game as well as Mystery Method. I am now reading Richard La Ruina's book the Naturla Art of Seduction and it seem to be the bes so far but I have only read 31 pages. It tells you about being more natural and using your intuition as well as using your won personlity unlike Mystery method and The game which makes you like a robot.

The game is not a guide how to become a PUA. It describes how an AFC becomes mPUA. Its not (exactly) instructional
but it gives you the motivation to reach up for your goals.
I think that first book you should read is the game because the book introduces you to PUA world and it tells you what is the game all about.
I think that the game should be a starting point for all.
Other books that I would recommend:
Mystery method (Im am reading it right now):
It gives you the basics a lot of theory etc.
It is writen by on of the best PUAs in the world - enough said.
Double your dating by Deangelo: C&F method.
How to become an alpha male by John Alexander.

How to be a Pickup Artist, by Juggler and The Attraction Code, by Vin DiCarlo. The latter is just fantastic.
