Ok, I'm pretty bad with forgetting names when I first meet people. I know what my problem is. I just tend to get their names, but am so distracted with what I'm going to say next that what they tell me just doesn't register.

The other night I number closed these two HB7's and while I was putting their numbers in my phone I COMPLETELY forgot their names. I was basically like shit. But I did my best to cover it up. I didn't wanna look incompetent so this is what I said.

"Ok Tanisha and Zeta, what are the numbers?'
or some shit like that.

I basically made up some fake ass names that didn't make sense at all. They laughed about it. It could have possible been a neg? But one of them was like you know I'm Bri and the other was like I'm Becca and I had them laughing more.

Anyone else have this problem with names?
If so how'd you fix it?
If you didn't fix it, how'd you cover it up?

haha yea that would be a neg a funny neg at that lol.....man i have the same problem but here is what i do when i get the number....i get out my cell phone and hand it over to her and say here you put it in....its great cus i prolly have forgotten the name and dont have to feel like a dork asking her name again....they always smile and say sure....nothing major just give up your phone for a min....

I have a hard time with names too.... its with everybody. What i've found helps is saying they're name to them. example:

Her: "My name is jenny"
me: "I'm rain63. what do you do for fun jenny?"

What i've also found that helps is reciting their name in my head every second or so while looking at them.

Getting some kind of association with them helps as well... i met a girl named brinkley, and she was wearing a hot pink dress with lots of glitter on. I see her now, remember the dress and its easier to remember her name.
