Have you guys ever mixed someones name up? I met this girl at a club saturday. Got her number. Called her for the first time today. She was at the club with her friend (girl). The whole time i had their names mixed up. Are my chances completely over or do I still have a slight chance if i work it right?

well there was alcohol involved that night. That and I suck at names. A & B came to the club together. I met both in the beginning but I was dancing with A the whole night and got A's number thinking her name was B's name. Anyway i personally thought it was a little messed up on my end. She said "did you think my name was ****" and I kinda paused for a sec and said "alright im going to be honest..i actually did" but then the convo continued for a few more minutes after that about other topics so I'm guessing the whole name mix up is out of the way. Any thoughts?

Not a big deal. If it comes up, you say in a voice that shows just how cheesy you know the line to be, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, right?" Then give a chuckle and a shrug. Most people are bad with names because of meeting people all the time and focusing more on who they are than what they are labeled (you can say that too).

The worst thing to do is to feel inferior 'cause of this. You are alpha, you meet loads of ppl - Like Rye here said.

A routine I often use when I forget names is (I suck at names.. i really, really suck at them so hard): "Alright *gets cellphone out* how do you spell your name?"

Now she will help you spell it, and you will know her name and number.

no I think i played it off well..this was all over the phone btw..but the convo ended with her sister having to dye her hair so she said she'll call me back after(it was around 7:30pm when i called)..she never called back after(this was last night)..so today is the 2nd day. Do I just wait for contact from her? Maybe send a neg text a week from now or is a week too long?

Call her in a few days 2-4, text shows a lack of confidence and determination.
