I'm trying to pick up on this girl who I used to have a crush on in High School.

I haven't seen her in years really, and never really hung out with her after school as friends or anything.

I was able to set up a reunion for us, and am going to go out with her in a few weeks.

I was thinking of using a line like "I used to have a crush on you years ago"

I think it could be kind of a false disqualifier or sorts, and her response can be very telling on how she feels about me.

Thoughts?

i would say tht later on in the date, playfully, with a confident smile and a pause around it but try make it fit in initially, and watch her reaction... try build attraction before hand as well.... you hardly know her from the sounds of things... so let the date run a bit and relax and have fun with her... don't think about saying the line otherwise you'll give off the vibe that your trying to do something...... just fit it in... and then pause.... look at her in the eye and move straight on to either a different topic, continue on what you were talking about before... or make a joke of this crush you had... and try increase the attraction... try to have some kino before that thought, where by through reverse rationalization she'll have to think that she's already attracted to you...

good luck man hope that helps!

Thanks for the advice Sierra, sounds pretty good for the most part.

Although, I did know this girl pretty well. We had a really good connection, and flirted a shit-ton. It was just bad timing since she had a boyfriend.

Anyways, if I deliver this line, I want to figure out a way to say it without sounding needy. The last thing I want is to say something that sounds like i'm saying: 'I like you.' Back in my AFC days I told a girl I was friends with that I liked her and it came off as so pathetic, and it totally back-fired.

Thoughts?

no worries, ermm so you did know her well, right ok tht makes a little change

well if you want to sound as little needy as possible, why not try saying something before it... to disqualify her saying something like 'here get this.... i used to... bla bla' then laugh and smile or something along the lines of tht... ? just an idea... dont know how many different ways you can say 'i u sed to have a crush on you' if its bothering you tht much you could scrap it completely? lol :)

good luck!!!

I wouldn't advice you to. This telegraphes interest, and could be a DLV if you don't do it properly. Yeah, sure, if you do it C&F you can pull it off. However, if you say it in an AFC-way it will blow you out (as it will tell her that you still have, even if you really don't).

If you want to do this, I recommend the following:
1. Go into topic of, if you had any GF/BFs at kindergarten, go further in time.
2. Say, "I used to have a crush on YOU, haaa", as it was as stupid as trying to have a serious relationship at the age of 5.
3. She might tell you how she FELT, or you can ask her. Though this info is kind of old, and might not be usefull. If she liked you, you can start busting her balls about it. "Hey, when am I going to get those loveletters?".

Just my view of it.

Well, if you two knew each other well, chances are she already knows that at one point you had a crush on her. Females instincts are much better about these things. I wouldn't bring it up much at all until maybe after you have really escalated the kino, and there becomes an awkward moment of silence..... at that point

You: "... you know, i used to have a crush on you."
HB: "yeah, i know.... what about now?"
At that point you dont say anything and go in for the kiss, and a boob squeeze...

Good luck bro

Thanks for the advice.

Seems like if I decide to say this, I'll say it later on in the date before a kiss close... or maybe just won't say it all.

Anyways, I'll let y'all know if it works. It'd be so awesome if I can pull this off. It'd really destroy my old AFC self that used to hopelessly obsess with this girl years ago.

I'm excited.
