I'm over-using the term sarge a bit too much. In reality it was just the first time I had gone out with the guy's since learning all about MM and PUAing in general.

So anyways I'm sititng at the bar with one friend and another of my friends is standing (he had just arrived).

While we are talking these two cute girls ,a brunette7 and a blonde8, sit down next to us.

I'm still pretty nervous and my one buddy (the one sitting down with me) has been learning PUA with me these last few weeks. So I finally stand up, offer my standing buddy my seat and then move down to take the empty seat next to the girls asking "Excuse me.... (wait)" She says "Yes?" .. "Can I have this seat?" "Ohh... sure.." and then I sit down and turn away from them back towards my buddies.

A minute later the 8 walks away to use the restroom (or something) and so I finally had enough balls to just lean over my shoulder really casually. I asked her "Do you believe in magic? You know like real magic? spells and stuff?" She replied "No not really, why do you?."

I probably shoulda FTC right there, but I didn't, but at least I recognize the mistake.

I went on about my buddy, Tim, and how he had met this girl who was really into wicca and what not. She said she was going to cast a spell on him to make him hers. Well now he won't leave her side, in fact he never even comes out with us anymore.

She was really into it... and then we BSed a little bit and I was kinda saying how it made me really wonder if it existed. She said "So like now what.. have you been practicing up on your magic spells?"

I said "Well sorta... see I learned out a way just by reading someone's eyes and getting a good feel to them to really get in tune with their thoughts and their feelings.. Want to try?" She said "Sure" so I lightly grabbed her hands and then stared directly into her eyes and asked her "Think of a number between 1 and 10".. She did.. I concentrated for a few moments just enjoying the kino and then guessed "7". "Nope" she said..

Balls! I thought.. I just said soemthing like "Well I'm still working on it." I realize now that that's a DLV.. I shoulda said something like "Ohh well I don't think you were concentrating hard enough" or "Boy you are really hard to read... you must have a lot of emotional baggage" or some other sort of neg.

Anyways her friend (the blonde came back and sat down between us. As she did the girl I'd been talking to started to pay her tab at the bar. I figured they were leaving soon so I just tried a little stuff with the 8. I asked her "Well how about YOU? What do you think of magic?" .. She said "Ohh well I think it'd be cool to be a witch" I then responded with "Geesh I better stay away from you.. any girl that eager to be a witch has got to have problems."

They both laughed and got up, excusing themselves, said it was nice meeting me, and then left.

I realize I didn't really get past A1... but for my first time going out (after being in a LTR for 5 1/2 years and just breaking up 2 months ago) I had A LOT OF FUN.

I totally get now what Mystery and Style and all those guys say about two aspects:

1.) It's just clean, wholesome fun. It's not about just k-closing and f-closing the girls. It's just about going out and being social and laughing and meeting people.

2.) I can see how it can become addicting. I already want to go out again and try a few more approaches and change my game plan around a little bit.
