This may seem like a stupid question as I have test field it but just what a confirmed answer so here goes:P

When in a bar or club, should one wait for positive IOI's before making a move on a girl?

Say we make eye contact, but she just looks to the side (not downwards, which is in fact a good sign), does this mean she would not be interested if I made a move in to chat to her?

Don't wait for anything. That's become dependant on weather you think they are interested. Sometimes you have to get them interested and you can only do that by aproaching first. Of course if they are checking you out then aproach them to.

The three second rule states that you should approach within 3 seconds of making eye contact regardless of IOI's...You don't have to game her but you should ackknowledge her... rather than look away like a little geeky school boy staring at his crush... If a chick is looking at you, this is an approach inivitation, she wants you to talk to her...If the approach invitations are strong use a direct opener.

Don't stand around waiting for IOI's this is boring...get out there!-convey how fucking awesome you are and get IOI's for being cool. It's a pretty good feeling to pick up a chick that wasn't even looking to get approached/didn't send out any IOI's.
