Alright I'm totally new at picking up women, I'm that loser they talk to about there problems...i develop one-itis and just focus on one girl. Basically im wondering if you are friends with a girl can you move that relationship forward or should i just give up and go for different girls?

Almost everybody has experiences with what you just described. Truth is: that chick has slotted you in the Let's Just Be Friends zone. That's a room of concrete walls without a door. Are your teeth made of high speed rotating diamond drilling bits? If so, would you waste them on a reinforced concrete wall?
No, you wouldn't. You would fly out through the roof to the nearest social gathering (bar, mall, street, dancing lesson, party, whatevah) and talk to new people and new girls.
There's no reasoning for this kind of situation. Just get out of it. Trust everybody here. No matter what your inner voice says to you. Go and meet new girls, or at least try. Don't worry about the potential loss of opportunity. This is all a learning school. New opportunities WILL follow.
