"I've been speaking to this girl for quite a while now hb8, lives quite close to me, I've known her for a few weeks but never met her till tonight, I've tried to setup a meeting or date with her a couple of times but we never ended up meeting each other, tonight was first time.

I've flirted on the phone and spoke to her on msn and text quite a lot.

A few weird things have happened:

1. I had a message from this guy saying "to leave ---- alone or i'll smash your face and your glasses.

- I told her I wouldn't take any of this from some arsehole who is obviously a chav, he's not her boyfriend he's a mate of hers and he seems to go round looking for fights or threatening anyone who speaks to her.

2. I had a phone call once which seemed dodgy while I was in the car with my uncle it may have been her or it might have been this lad messing about I'm not sure but she says it was her but the call was very short.

3. I had another phone call once about 1.30am which woke me up and she was apparently calling to me to see if I wanted to go for a random drive, I think she's the sort of girl who's crazy enough to go round meeting people at this time and going off for drives for a laugh. I just text her saying I'm in bed and she text back "ok sexy x".

Also. Often on nights out she gets drunk and texts me "you at ----- xx" or something random.

Anyway I've been speaking to her for a few weeks on msn and spoke on the phone quite a bit on top of this. We seem quite close and she although those three above seem like dodgy stuff I can always make her laugh talk to her about silly stuff on msn but she knows quite a lot about me just through myspace, msn, facebook etc.

Anyway the last time I was on msn I hadn't been on much as my computer had had a virus and I'd been to london for four days. I came back online and only spoke quite briefly to her said something like "how rude, aren't you going to ask me about london " how rude is one of our joke things. the rest of the conversation was quite brief but I said I had to go and she put "we'll have to do something sometime", "bye xx". I'd said I'll call her but I never bothered calling for a few days due to work.

I phoned her today and got chatting, I invited her to a cool local pub in town, she said she'd already arranged to go to this club with her mates later on so if we met up it'd have to be with them. hmmm.

I ended up texting her "Babe, come out tomorrow night to the ---------- at 7 we can go for some food after then you can take me for one of your famous random drives. we'll have more fun than the -----". I got no text back but when I came on the computer tonight she was on msn and wanted to come round, she only came round for about 15 minutes as she was going to visit another friend apparently that guy who sent the abusive message but he's ill and has been hallucinating or something. she said she will come round for later next time. Her dad wanted her home by 12pm as when her dads been drinking she says he gets protective and wants her home early those nights. This was 11pm. Also she says her other phone was on charge and she wasn't using the one I called her on. My house is attached to my dads business which is a garden centre so she wanted to call me before she came in and then I just showed her the house a bit and chatted for 15 mins.

I'm quite confused as to why she wants to meet me this way rather than go to a pub does it work this way often?

What do I need to do next to try and end up going out with this girl or at least getting something more than friendship out of it."
