Hey guys.
This is kind of a sticking point for me I guess you could say. Last night I was out with people from work and was gaming a HB9 that I work with (unbelievable body), even though she has a boyfriend (well last I heard she did) I was getting alot of IOIs, I was throwing negs giving kino and DHVing. We danced and were getting close (pic link at the bottom). However as the night progressed so did my alcohol intake and long story short I pretty much blew it and made an arse of myself. I wouldn't consider myself an alcoholic but when I do drink it usually ends up like this.
Now this is obviously not good for game and is generally unhealthy anyway, so being as though becoming a PUA is a lifestyle change, this is a big part of my lifestyle that I feel needs changing. I know many of you guys don't drink anymore so I was wondering if there are any books or just some words of wisdom that would help me as I begin this change.

As you can see we are both pretty drunk there already (I look out of it) and it was shortly after that when I lost control of my actions.

Thanks in advance chaps.

very pretty lady. I suggest that instead of drinking alcohol, try weaning yourself to energy drinks or non-alcoholic drinks. They taste exactly the same as beer just contain nothing in them at all.

Anpother way is to sit and think why it is you drink that much. If its a case of you have the cash, then take half the amount you usually bring out with you. Or limit yourself to less.

For example, in the area i live an average night out costs around £30-40 (this is if i was drinking heavily and also for entry charges), so I limit myself to around £15-20 instead. The highest entry for a club is £5.

I don't really drink much anymore (namely due to health complications and operations I'm due to have) but also it allows me to free up money to spend on other things such as improving my image and my home.

Thanks kage, good advice on taking less money out, I'll definately do that. It is generally that I have the money, I'm not rich or anything but when I go out I usually have like £50 and my debit card so I sometimes end up spending alot of money on one night that I don't remember because I get blackout drunk. Also sometimes I drink when I get stressed out about things so I need to figure a way around that also.
Thanks again.

Oh man, that last post sounds bad.

I do it in a similar fasion. I used to leave the debit card home, for that reason, not cause I blackout, but there's just no reason when you drink a lot.

Bring less cash, and tell your buddies ahead of time not to lend you drinks. The funny thing is you might to start getting drinks from girls, haha, that's what happens in my case.

I don't view drinking as a problem as long as you can control yourself, but you seem to be way above that. ;)

Also what i did, I joined a gym last year, and didn't drink at all for 4-5 months just to lose weight.

One word: Moderation

If you want to drink that is fine, you just have to watch how much you drink. You should try to drink no more than one drink a hour. You should also opt for beverages with less alchol and drink them slowly.

Unlike most potential PUA, I enjoy sarging when I have a little beer in me. I find that it loosens me up and makes me approach a lot easier. I only drink like one beer when I arrive at the club and then just relax for the rest of the night.

btw: The female is hot!

Thanks guys. It not so much that I get blackout drunk everytime I go out, and I don't go out every night, just that when I do go out I have a habit of getting carried away often. However I shall heed all of your advice and just take it a day at a time, I'm not really looking to COMPLETELY stop, just gain some more self control.
