Ok guys, I really need help with this. I have REALLY bad Aproach Anxiety. I go out to the local mall/club etc. with such confidents and promise only to freeze up when I see a possible aproach. I have no problem coming up with good situational openers, but when I see a girl, I just start to think "this is ridiculous, I cant just walk up to her and start a conversation". It drives me crazy! I know I can do this! I've even tried the "warm up" techniques like asking people for the time, but I even have trouble with that!

Anyone here have ANY suggestions?

Go up to girls that work at the stores in the mall and ask them what time is it
It'll get rid of the AA and then start approaching hotties at the foodcourt or where ever you want

Change your personality. Talk to everyone around you... guys, grandmas, women, children (well, maybe not. It might look weird)... everyone. It should be easy to talk to people like that because you are not interested in them, you are merely socializing.

Once you get that down, I always suggest you slowly approach your age in the opposite sex. For example if you are 30 start by talking to women who are 18 and/or 50. Then when you are comfortable with that close in on your age a little more and approach women who are 23 and 44... so on and so forth. This strategy is good because it allows you to see almost everything you will encounter with a women (ie- girls looking up to you and girls looking down on you), and you should have less AA approaching women that are way off your age. Also this strategy gives you an oppertunity to score a teen vixan or a older cougar.

Another tip is when you approach a HB 8,9 or 10 find one thing wrong with them. For example, maybe their ears are a bit to big for their head. Once you find the one thing thats "wrong" with them concentrate on that during your approach and they will seem a lot less attractive and you wont get as nervous.
