Quite frequently do i get the phrase ''Are you hitting on my friend?''
from another person in the set. just wanted to ask all you guys whats the best response? as it always puts me off and i lose my footing!!! thanks!!

or

yeah who wouldn;t?? look at her:P

usally i just say : im always innocent with a big smile
but since i dont say it in english it might have a different effect

Maybe the friend feels uncertain about you, so your sticking point is probably that you don't make her friends like you enough.Win them over.
