I'm studying to be a teacher and we had a whole lesson recently on putting the students into a state of disequilibrium in order to challenge their thinking.

I've been thinking of relating this to the game and think it would be effective in building relationships. The question is, can you guys give me some examples that would put the targets in this state? I know it will depend on the situation and past topics of conversation, so what about an opening that would genuinely catch them off guard and get them thinking beyond the mainstream openers.

Hit me within the next 2 hours and I'll field test them tonight.
